IES FORMATION ANNOUNCED

Industrial Emergency Services (IES), a limited liability company, was established on March 17, 1999 under the leadership of Fire Chief Bob Andrews

IES was established specifically to meet the rapidly growing demand for professional, cost-effective emergency response and related safety services to the oil, chemical and other high-hazard industries,  in response to the global trend toward industry consolidation and downsizing, and the ever growing public concern for safety in such  operations.

Headquartered on the U.S. Gulf Coast, IES is committed to being the global benchmark company providing in-plant personnel, cooperative (cost-shared) fire stations, training and professional consulting services to their clients. IES is committed to having a professional staff whose experience and subject matter expertise in the industry is without peer. IES not only uses, but develops, the best emergency response practices for oil chemical fire fighting and hazard mitigation, emergency medical services, technical and confined space rescue, hazardous materials response, environmental monitoring, oil spill response, and marine fire fighting, in their client's industries.

While the company is new, IES' staff has a well-established reputation and proven track record. IES President, Chief Bob Andrews is best known for the leadership, vision, growth, technical expertise, incident command excellence and successful emergency response he brought to the Refinery Terminal Fire Company in Corpus Christi, Texas during his 13 years as Vice President & Fire Chief. His leadership and contributions to emergency response, organizational development, and fire protection engineering is well recognized within the oil and chemical industry.

When asked about the future of IES, Chief Andrews states simply, "IES is an exciting, dynamic company, designed to provide excellent, cost-effective emergency response services and other related safety services to the oil and chemical industry. We were born out of the need to assist industry with providing vital emergency services while it are also responding to major global economic realities resulting in significant mergers and personnel reductions.
